POSITION: Account / Sales Representative - New Business Development
Everyone knows the print industry has gone through a decline, but the claims that “Print is Dead” are actually dead wrong. Many companies doing a lot of tradeshows, events and in-person sales still find that attractive print collateral is critical to their success.
The disruption and consolidation in the print industry has actually provided an amazing opportunity. As many of the large print companies have had to reorganize their offerings, there is confusion and difficulty for small and medium sized businesses to easily get great printing at affordable prices.
That’s where we come in –Direction Printing & Communications is a nimble print management company that is growing fast because we’re helping meet the print needs of SMB’s. We’re the experts who helpfully guide them through their printing jobs and provide “wow” customer service and competitive pricing.
And now, we’re looking to looking for an additional account executive to help us spur that growth even faster. Your goal in this position is to learn the print business, find new clients, and manage their accounts with high satisfaction to earn repeat orders. We have some prospecting strategies that have resulted in people earning over $100k, and if you have other proven or smart tactics, we’re open to how you find and engage clients.

To do the job you must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to visit clients for occasional meetings. Beyond that we’re more interested in personality traits, drive for results, and culture-fit, than specific experience. That being said, we do think people with some of the following have a better chance of great success:
Experience working successfully in sales or customer service

This full-time position works Monday to Friday from our office in Kitchener. There is base compensation plus an uncapped commission plan, with a target total compensation in the first year of between $50,000 and $80,000. Because there is no cap the sky's the limit for what you can earn.
